Decor Daydreams Couch and Coffee Table Decor

Today was my last day of teaching, not only for the summer, but for at least the next year.  I’m going cherish every moment of motherhood that’s quickly approaching and fully dive into this blog of mine.  I. Can’t. Wait!! This opportunity also gives me plenty of time this summer to get a few house projects done {besides the nursery} before our little one arrives.

There’s a really good chance I’ll also be relaxing with my feet up in the heat of the summer so I’ll need a comfy spot to do just that.  I love our living room space and the comfort our couch provides.  I just need to spruce it up with some couch and coffee table decor.  The blank slate shown below helps give you an idea of how much of a difference a pop of color can make when working with home decor.

Couch and Coffee Table Decor

1. No matter what season or where I am in the house, I always have a blanket nearby. Better Homes and Garden has the perfect tutorial to create your own Pom Tassel Blanket that will leave you and your family fighting over it.

2. I love the random size and placement of these navy blue polka dots on the pillows created by Whitlock and Co.  They give me all the feels! It’s safe to say I’m using this pillow as my neutral color within the group of pillows shown in my design.

3. Whitlock and Co. pulls through again with this modern tropical pillow.  It gives the space a surprise element by providing a bold pop of color.

4. Texture is always a great idea when decorating a space especially when using several pillows.   With vibrant blue hues and french knots to create the gorgeous pattern, these West Elm pillows prove to be the perfect fit!

5. One last pillow by Mazizmuse Design Co. completes the look for the middle of the couch by throwing in a splash of yellow.  Color block items are always a modern yet timeless look to give a space..

6. Now it’s time for the table decor starting with this neutral, gold hurricane candle holder. If there’s an open space, I promise I will be burning candles or placing fresh flowers to enjoy.  The size of this faceted hurricane decor piece will certainly make a statement piece on your coffee table.

7. Fresh flowers are a must!  Make it a treat to yourself every week even if that means clipping a few flowers from your yard. And as far as a vase?  Who knew that concrete could be so darn cute!?  Loving this concrete vase by Frauklarer.  I want them all!

8. A coffee table tray is my go to item in the living room.  It houses the remotes, candles, magazines and anything else that I need within a quick reach.  You can’t go wrong with a neutral, wooden hexagon design to add appeal to your coffee table.   You can even make it versatile by using it as a serving tray during one of your social gatherings.

9. I have a constant rotation of books on my coffee table.  They are great for when you want to relax and provide an elegant decor piece to your coffee table that’s functional.  Let It Be Beautiful has plenty of inspiration for not only great reads, but overall motivation for day-to-day happiness.
