As most of you know we recently moved into our new home. Our new community is a little slice of southern hospitality and we couldn’t be happier. We decided to give back and create an opportunity to meet even more of our neighbors in our community. What better way to do that than to offer free lemonade on a hot summer day? But we would need one thing: the ultimate lemonade stand.

We decided this on a Thursday evening and we were ready to go by Saturday morning. The key to the ultimate lemonade stand is to have the right ingredients, decorations, and the objective of having fun with family. I’m here today to show you how you can also plan your own lemonade stand by next weekend without getting overwhelmed. Creating one in no time is possible with my all time favorite lemonade and decoration ideas. I even have a few free printables just for you.

First up is the lemonade stand. We previously built this in an afternoon with two pallets, a few 2 x 4’s, a can of stain, and yellow paint. Simply screw the two pallets together, attach the 2 x 4’s to create the frame at the top, apply the stain, and paint the lemon on the front. There you have it! A custom built and oh so adorable lemonade stand.

The next important component is the lemonade. Not just any lemonade but Minute Maid® Lemonade. With a 10 month old and getting a stand ready, I knew I needed the best of the best without spending too much time in the kitchen. We headed to our neighborhood Publix to pick up our items and quickly found the Minute Maid and FUZE® Lemon and Iced Tea. We grabbed a few cans of FUZE to offer two different drinks to our soon-to-be new friends.

These are the perfect drinks for summertime and a fun refreshment to offer others. Luckily for me, getting groceries is always this fun with this little guy! Here’s where you can find the Minute Maid and FUZE Iced Tea at your local Publix:

Quick tip: Purchase the Minute Maid 2 liter bottles to quickly pour lemonade and to keep it fresh all day. The cans are also a great alternative for those on the go or wanting to share with their family.

Since the Minute Maid and FUZE Tea were ready to go, we also wanted to offer a few more refreshing items to our neighbors. As a family we decided on strawberry lemonade ice pops and refreshing cups of tea with frozen lemon tea ice cubes. They are as delicious as they sound!

First up is the FUZE Lemon Iced Tea with frozen tea ice cubes:

Lemon Iced Tea

  • 1 can of FUZE Lemon Iced Tea
  • Frozen FUZE Lemon Iced Tea Cubes
  • 2-3 Slices of a Lemon
Instructions
Freeze lemon iced tea cubes using the FUZE Lemon Iced Tea and an ice tray. It usually takes at least 4 hours to fully freeze. Once the ice cubes are frozen, thinly slice a lemon. Pour the FUZE Lemon Iced Tea into a cup, add a few FUZE ice cubes, and garnish with lemon slices on top.

Make it extra flavorful by adding a few slices of fresh lemons and creating ice cubes out of the FUZE Lemon Iced Tea. This way the tea won’t become watered down on a hot summer day and the ice will instantly cool the drink. The perfect combination for a delicious cup of lemon iced tea.

When it comes to decorating your lemonade stand, think simple. Attach tissue garland by stringing it across or hanging it on one of the corners of the stand.

You can also create a lemonade banner using yellow scrapbook paper to cut out lemon shapes and attaching them to a string. Print or write the letters to spell lemonade on the lemons.

Have extra scrapbook paper to create more lemons? Perfect! Tape them to wooden rods and place in flower pots. These provide summer decor for your lemonade stand and for your home once all the Minute Maid is gone.

You’ll need cups, napkins, and straws for your new friends as they come to say hi and sip the afternoon away with you. Quickly dress up paper products by attaching a lemonade label to your cups, a lemon circle label to each straw, and using cute yellow napkins.

Being a home and DIY blogger, I’m all about printables for your home. That’s why I’m also offering FREE custom designed printables for you to hand out at your lemonade stand. Choose between the 8 x 10 print or the post card. Actually, why not offer both. They will help provide adorable decor for your lemonade stand and a fun way to connect with people.

Have you ever thought of using your drinks as a decoration piece? It’s the perfect way to add pops of color by displaying your FUZE and Minute Maid drinks with lemons mixed in throughout your lemonade stand.

Lastly, you want to draw attention and bring people to your lemonade stand. Create large lemons using yellow poster board or scrapbook paper and write “FREE lemonade” on the front. By attaching the sign to a wooden stick and placing throughout your neighborhood, you’ll have new friends in no time!

Seriously, this ultimate lemonade stand will make for the best day ever full of new friendships and laughter. I can’t think of a better way to spend a gorgeous Saturday with family. I know mine certainly had an amazing time passing out Minute Maid and cold ice pops for all to enjoy. We even packed up the lemonade stand for the afternoon thunderstorm and set it back up once the rain stopped. Who knows, maybe this can become a new neighborhood tradition with different types of lemonade stands throughout the community.
