Happy Friday my friends! What a crazy, yet fun, week with Valentine’s Day happening during the week and work flow. Can we all agree that Valentine’s Day always needs to be on a Friday? I seriously woke up the day after thinking it was Saturday.
To kick off the start of the weekend, I have something that’s certainly going to brighten your day! The first day of spring is quickly approaching. March 20th is right around the corner! So I thought today would be the perfect day to introduce to you Pantone’s Color of the Year 2017: Greenery.
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about this color! Green has always been my favorite color in general. But for some reason when it comes to home decor, I have a lack of greenery (besides plants and fresh flowers). Douglas Elliman, a global real estate firm that’s also located here in Florida, inspired me to create a style board showing you how I would use Pantone’s Greenery in my home to decorate. Every home goes through a little spring cleaning, but today I want to inspire you to change up the home decor with this refreshing color to help get you ready for the spring blossoms headed our way!
My style board consists of beautiful green hues that will inspire you to add this color to your living space. I had my living room in mind when creating this style board because it’s the first room friends and family walk into when entering my home.
To start I had to include a magnolia wreath and gorgeous prints of leaves for my touch of greenery. And can we talk about split leaf philodendrons? I still love fiddle leaf figs, but this plant has certainly captured my eye when it comes to home decor. For pops of color on the couch add pillows with green or pick out a bold fabric to create curtains that go from the ceiling to the floor.
Not a bold curtain fan? Pick your favorite green hue and paint a piece of furniture as a focal point. This dresser on the style board is absolutely dreamy! I wish I could get me hands on it. Lastly, you can never go wrong with items to display on your wall like this yarn wall hanging. I love how soft this home decor piece is while providing a pop of green. And don’t let me forget about the framed prints of bright green leaves.
I’m certainly head over heels for Pantone’s Color of the Year, Greenery, for 2017! Here’s a beautiful living room found on Weranda that perfectly shows how you can style with this color for a vibrant and refreshing look.
How will you be using Pantone’s Greenery this year? I would love to know in the comments below! Meanwhile, here’s where you can find all of the green home decor items found in today’s style board:
