Hello first day of spring! I’ve been looking forward to this day since I put my holiday decor away. I love this time of year before the insanely hot weather here in Florida arrives. I love attending spring festivals, sipping lemonade at the local farmers markets, seeing others out and about in their yard and neighborhood, and planting those beautiful spring flowers. We can’t forget about the inside of our homes though. Today’s post is all about my top 5 ways to bring spring indoors using home decor. I can’t wait to start implementing some of these design ideas to give an instant pop of spring color throughout my home.
1. Spring Wreath
Set the stage for the inside of your home by hanging a beautiful spring wreath! I’m always switching out the wreath on my front door to match the seasons and holidays. There are so many gorgeous variations to choose from or to create yourself. I love this one hanging against the navy door and how the flowers fall beautifully due to how many are attached to the wreath. On Sutton Place certain knows how to decorate a door for spring!
2. Spring Pillows
This is one area of my home that I need to work on: changing out pillows with the seasons. I love a great pillow, especially when they’re as adorable as this bee pillow found in the home of Craftberry Bush. This bee pillow works perfectly this year with the campaign, Bring Back the Bees, currently taking place. Get your free packet of wildflowers mailed to you while you’re decorating for spring!
I’ve never thought of using Forsythia as spring decor until stumbling upon A Cultivated Nest. I love how she used hers in a glass bottle. These can be clipped from your yard or you can go the faux route.
4. Indoor Herb Garden
Spring often brings fresh meals with a mixture of herbs to provide an amazing flavor. Why not grow your own herb garden from the comfort of your own home? Fresh Mommy Blog shows us how to make the most adorable hanging herb garden. It’s industrial and farmhouse style all in one. It’s even hanging in the kitchen for easy access.
5. Tulips in a White Pitcher
One can never have too many flowers! I’m smitten with the look of placing tulips in a white pitcher. This can be displayed on a coffee table, foyer table, kitchen counter, and so many other places. I do have a tip with tulips! Purchase a bundle that hasn’t opened yet. They don’t last long once they do, so you’ll want to get the most out of them. Town and Country Living shows us how to create our own tulip arrangement in a few easy steps.
Of course there are many ways you can incorporate spring within your home decor. These are just a few of my favorite and go-to ways to bring spring inside. Have fun with it and don’t be afraid of color! I love a pop of color throughout the rooms of my home. Happy first day of spring!
