Hello 2017! I can’t believe the holidays are over and here we are in a new year. After having to get out my Christmas decorations a little earlier this year, I was anxious to take them down once the holidays were over. Although it made for a clutter free home with all the decorations put away, it made my home look a little too bare. That’s when I started thinking of ways to decorate my home for the winter season. There are so many gorgeous home decor pieces and home projects that can bring a timeless winter look to any home. Here are my top 5 looks for creating winter home decor.
The simplicity of this winter home decor is what stands out to me the most by Seeking Lavender Lane. With the beautiful neutral colors, pop of greenery, and the firewood ready to be used, I instantly want to curl up in this living room with my favorite book. Plus, do you see the amazing grey mantle and brick fireplace?
Can I just hire Setting for Four to create the ultimate winter basket for my home? Everything about this basket screams winter. Plus, there’s nothing like having the softest blanket within reach when relaxing on a cold day. When winter is over, this basket can also be used for spring decor!
Once again, Liz Marie Blog has stolen my home decor loving heart! Besides the winter whites and creams throughout this room, lets focus on this gorgeous blanket! Would you believe me if I told you this is a handmade knit wool blanket? Stunning, right? Now that is a new home project goal for 2017!
If you know anything about me, you know that I love greenery and plants throughout my home. So when I saw these trees, I knew this is a look I would love in my home for winter. Also, being the southern gal that I am, this cotton wreath took me back to my South Carolina roots. The Golden Sycamore has the perfect combination of winter home decor items.
The Lily Pad Cottage used a mixture of white candles and greenery to create a beautiful winter look. Simple yet makes a statement. I love her style. With the fire going, it certainly creates a cozy atmosphere. Talk about candle goals!
These are just a few of my favorites! What do you do once the holidays are over? Are you one to have a deep winter clean of your home or do you decorate for the winter? I’ve noticed this year that a lot of people immediately decorate for Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait to hear what you do in the comments below!
