Happy Saturday and happy long weekend! This is one of my favorite weekends because it’s the kick off to summer and usually means the end of the school year. Even better if you’re a teacher, a student, or parent ready to have some summer fun. Growing up I spent my weekends by the water {and during the week before adulting began}. I always had my go to items that I didn’t leave home without and still do! I’ve decided that 2016 is the year to update a few of the essentials. Take a look into some of the items found below that will eventually be introduced to sun kissed, sandy beach days soon. And as always, yay for supporting small businesses!
1. I can’t get my hands on this vibrant beach towel fast enough! It has been on my wish list to own a circle beach towel for quite some time and I think now is the perfect time to own one. Beach Lulu offers this perfect cotton beach towel that screams summer colors with fun tassels as a finishing touch. Even better, it’s free shipping to anyone in the US.
2. I’m all about a float especially with this baby bump of mine to help me relax in the water. Shop Bella C wants to make sure we relax in style with this fun and whimsical pineapple float. Goodbye doughnut float of last year, hello pineapple float!
3. I wish I had started this years ago of wearing a hat out in the sun to help protect my face as I grew older. Never too late though, right? Especially when I can wear an adorable floppy hat created by Dovely Delights that screams fun in the sun! And who can say no to Rosé all day when you’re already in vacation mode?
4. Just about every year I treat myself to a new beach bag. La Paso Bien absolutely knows how to get your weekends by the water started with this teal and hot pink tote bag. I love how the pink sneaks through parts of the teal for added appeal. This bag even comes with a festive key chain on the soft sailor rope handles for you to enjoy.
