There is one day a year that my blogging self looks forward to! That day arrived a few weeks ago: Blog Fete 2015. This is a day that I spend surrounded by other passionate bloggers, boss ladies, and getting inspired to keep building this little blog of mine. Blog Fete was founded by Melissa Creates, a fellow {and hands down amazing} blogger here in Orlando, FL. I first met Melissa when I attended Blog Fete 2014 when I had no idea what the world of blogging had in store for me.
Here’s a glimpse into my full day adventure of Blog Fete 2015! The event was hosted at the beautiful and eclectic East End Market. They day started off with Brandi of Alexis June Weddings giving a powerful presentation as they key note speaker. Makes me extremely jealous of the lovely people of New York City having her all to themselves.
Not only did Brandi motivate the boss lady crowd, but she captured the entire event and even took head shots of the attendees. I’m not one to jump in front of the camera, especially solo, but she made it an amazing experience! And even more shocking, I actually loved my head shots!
The day continued with 10 different round tables ranging in multitudes of information for blogging. There was a morning and afternoon session where attendees could visit one table or as many as they desired where they could listen, learn, and ask questions of successful bloggers {a.k.a. lady bosses of blogging}. This was such a rare and wonderful opportunity to pick the minds of such successful women. I was able to chat it up with Melissa Creates, Sarah Hearts, Kori Clark, and Carmen of the Flair Exchange. Dream day!
We were served a delicious lunch, but let’s be real, it was too delicious to stop and take a picture. Just join me next year! I even got to hang with Melissa’s lil’ cutie, Lincoln, right after lunch. He obviously loved hanging out just as much as I did!
As if the day couldn’t get any better, Sarah Hearts hosted an afternoon crafting session. Hello Meet + Make at Blog Fete 2015! We made our own ‘Build My Empire” banner that’s a perfect fit in my office. All of the supplies were provided while we chatted, created, and laughed throughout this part of the day.
Side note – Did you know there’s such thing as a pom pom maker? Neither did I until this craft session! I quickly realized the countless hours I spent with a fork and yarn making pom poms that could have taken minutes with this new tool.
Right when I thought the dreamy day was over, the dinner party began. Walking into this dinner party hosted by Paper Goat Post in collaboration with Pen n’ Paper Flowers made me feel as if I’d arrived as the amazing blogger that I felt I was on the inside after such an inspirational day. The dinner party set up was stunning and was the perfect ending to the day!
Megan and Cedar, the twin sisters of Paper Goat Post, were also a joy to get to know and I would let them host a dinner party any day of the week! Meanwhile, check out their new store in Ivanhoe Village. If you live too far away, get a glimpse of their shop here.
With candles, delicious food, flowers placed throughout the table by Farm Gal Flowers, and being spoiled by the sponsors of the event, Melissa practically had to kick me out at the end of the event. Cheers to Melissa, her boss lady style, and bringing Blog Fete to Central Florida.
