Every month, I squeal over so many beautiful Sherwin William colors to incorporate in my front porch design. Especially when using the front door as the focal point for the color. This month I wanted to do something a little different and go for a white door. I know, right? I’ve never thought of painting a front door white, but you guys, it’s a stunning look on the few homes that I’ve seen incorporating this design. It’s a classic, farmhouse, and modern look depending on the type of home it’s welcoming you into.
I decided on Extra White by Sherwin Williams as my color to reference to this month. A white door provides a gorgeous canvas to incorporate other colors throughout the front porch. Since I’ve been crushing on navy, white, and natural wood colors, that’s exactly what I designed for this front porch. And, of course, with pops of green through the use of plants. The mixture of rich and neutral colors creates such an eye-catching space meant to be relaxed in. Give me a book, drink of choice, and not a care in the world and this is where you’ll find me. You can shop the post at the end and find the sources for the items that provided the inspiration behind this design.
Have I convinced you yet to use white on your front door? It’s too good not to look into as a possibility. Let me know if you give it a try!
