I’m so excited about today’s post! It kicks off the first of four posts of my holiday blog series. This past weekend, I teamed up with Melissa Creates, as we styled and ate our way through our styled holiday photo shoot to create this series just for you. Over the next two weeks we’ll be covering holiday recipes, styling a holiday table, home decor, and simple, yet stylish, ways to wrap presents. Everything was created with you, our readers, in mind.
With many of the holiday events taking place during the evenings and nights, we loved the idea of hosting a holiday brunch. So today we’re chatting all things brunch and the delicious recipes that are involved.
To kick it off, we always start a holiday brunch with a bubbly to sip on as we mingle. So, grab your favorite sparkling beverage and add a few fresh cranberries for an easy and festive drink.
Melissa created and styled a doughnut cake with a classic red truck adorning the top. Short on time planning your own brunch? Then this can be one of your go-to dishes. You can even add a few holiday sprinkles to make it your own.
And then there’s the overnight eggnog blueberry French toast. It sounds heavenly, doesn’t it? And that’s because it is! It’s like no other French toast I’ve ever tried. Create this dish the night before and add the toppings the morning of. The sweetness of the blueberries and the twist of the eggnog creates the perfect holiday brunch dish.
But, as you know, this isn’t my expertise as much as I wish it was. Melissa created this dish just for our holiday brunch and she’s spilling all the recipe secrets over on her blog. You’ve got to check out her post, Overnight Eggnog Blueberries French Toast, for the full recipe. This breakfast item is going to become part of our Christmas Eve brunch year after year now. It’s that good!
Now that we have the food covered, in our next post we’ll help guide you on how to effortlessly style your table and food for your next brunch event. We’re spilling all the secrets and we can’t wait to share! Let us know if you try the recipe and don’t forget to tag us on social media.
Let’s keep in touch!
We have a brand new community over on Facebook, House & Home, where we’ll be chatting, sharing, and helping one another when it comes to home decor and projects. Come join us! Check it out here.
