It is a big weekend coming up for all of us with it being the 4th of July weekend. It may be spent attending cookouts, watching plenty of fireworks, spending much needed downtime with your family, or simply taking advantage of a three day weekend!
I felt that it was the perfect weekend to introduce another mix and sip: The Tropical Coconut. It is comparable to the Blue Hawaiian but I switched out and added an ingredient or two. Originally I was hoping the drink would be bluer because of the Blue Curacao that was added to it. A couple mixes later the drink turned a green hue because of my love affair with pineapples. Either way, this sweet mix and sip is delicious!
The Tropical Coconut
1 serving
Ingredients
1 part coconut rum
1 part Blue Curacao
1 part lime soda
2 parts pineapple juice
Ice
Combine and mix all the ingredients together. Pour the mixture over ice and garnish with a cherry and a pineapple wedge. Your guests will be asking for more in no time, especially with the summer heat! You can also make this drink a little fruitier by adding creme of banana.
If you need more ideas for drinks to serve at your next get together, try my Pineapple Mimosa or Strawberry Wine Spritzer.
