It’s finally time to tackle the pantry!! I might be overly excited about this because, my friends, we have one unique and strange pantry. Sure, it might look like a normal closet/pantry with the door shut.

But when you open it. . .

It’s hard to tell in the pictures but there are 4 angled walls in this pantry making it very interesting to figure out shelving. Possible to figure it out? Of course! We currently have 10 wire shelves that were placed in a way where they don’t truly fit the pantry.

So what we have here is a pantry that is has a lot of waster space, wire shelves meeting at a weird angle, and just overall a space that makes you scratch your head when you look at it. But GUESS WHAT!? That won’t be the case anymore very soon. AND I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!

We’re ripping out and saying goodbye to all of the metal shelves and hello to a more practical and beautiful design. You know I’m all about functionally meeting style. We have an idea of what we want to do but also flying by the seat of our pants with this one. With it being such a unique shaped space, we’re tackling one part of it at a time.

We do have a general idea of what we want to do. For example, building custom cabinetry to truly fit the space and open shelving that isn’t wire shelves. At this time, the paint color is still up in the air but we know what we want to do with the paint design. Here’s our mood board that’s giving us a really good starting point:
