What is it about purchasing a piece of artwork for your home that makes you feel like you’re finally adulting? At least that’s how Ryan and I felt after hanging our first piece of artwork in our dining room found on Minted. We’ve decorated with personal canvas pictures, DIY artwork that you can see here and here, and created gallery walls in the past. We thought it was finally time to kick it up a notch by displaying an art print.
For the past year I’ve been infatuated with Minted. Maybe you recognize this name, but I urge you to get to know this online marketplace! Minted is an online retailer of independent artists selling their amazing artwork in forms of art prints, home decor, stationary, and all of your wedding needs. Although I got lost in time browsing their abundance of gorgeous pillows, I knew it was time to finally pick out the perfect print for our dining room.
There’s a wall in our dining room that was begging to be decorated with a large piece of artwork. We wanted to make sure that we picked out a piece that we both loved while complimenting the rest of our home. Something light, airy, and not too busy would be the perfect piece. We narrowed down our search results by filtering the size, color, style, and type. Here were a few of our favorites that we went back and forth on:
We quickly decided on Fractured Horizon 1 by Melanie Severin with a Whitewashed French Farmhouse frame. Minted offers many different framing options for all of their art prints or you can choose to purchase just the print. Why did we pick the one we did? We loved the simplicity of it, the abstract design, and how it has beautiful bluish green hues throughout. Knowing that we were about to receive a gorgeous print designed by a very talented artist gave us all the giddy feelings! I can’t get over how stunning it looks in our dining room.
The day our print arrived was an exciting one! From opening the box to hanging it on the wall, it was all a fun experience. Especially when the inside of the shipment box has the signatures of the various artists found on Minted. I love the details this company puts into the consumer experience.
This print is certainly a show stopper once people round the corner from our kitchen. For an added bonus, when the evening light pours into our dining room, it allows the gold tones to shine.
Now, go get lost searching for your next piece of artwork for your home on Minted. You’ll certainly create something one of a kind. I would love to see what you pick out! Better yet, let me help you. Just let me know what type of design and color scheme you’re looking for. Here’s one more glance at our newest addition to our home!
