The time has come, my friends. It’s time to get the crib out and transform Oliver’s bedroom into a big boy bedroom. I guess you can say we’ve been slowly transitioning his bedroom with a few projects already. We’ve tackled his modern green accent wall, a new way to hang his curtains, and DIY floating frames. Here’s what his room currently looks like.

Now that we have an idea of where we want to go with his room, I’m excited to share our plans with you! Our goal is to make his room a space that he can continue to grow with, a neutral pallet so he can add things to his room as he wishes, and a space he can truly be comfortable in and proud to call his own. Here’s what we have planned:

During this next phase of his bedroom makeover, the main focus will be the furniture. Both the crib and dresser will be switched out for what you see on the mood board. We decided to ultimately go with a full bed so we don’t have to worry about getting a bigger bed in a few years. The dresser we currently have works great but we’re wanting a chest of drawers to free up some space since there’ll be a full bed.

Stay tuned my friends! We’ll be switching out the furniture in the next couple of days and adding a little decor. Then the next phase of his bedroom makeover? The floors!
